I'm trying to help my parents fix their computer and im unsure about what they use the laptop for but when i try running MBAM i get a Error #730 which requires me to reinstall MBAM. Ive done that and then it works but when i try updating through the application it errors out #732 so then i try manually updating , however after installing the new mbam rules, i get error #730 again. I've ran no ad-aware but it didnt find anything.

Hello.

  • Open HijackThis.
  • Choose "Do a system scan only"
  • Check the boxes in front of these lines:

  • Press "Fix Checked"
  • Close Hijack This.

Remove the Proxy setting in Internet Explorer and/or in FireFox.

    In Internet Explorer
  1. Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab ->Lan Settings > uncheck "use a proxy server" or reconfigure the Proxy server again in case you have set it previously.

    In Firefox
  1. Tools Menu -> Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Network Tab -> "Settings" under Connection > Choose "No Proxy"
  2. Click the apply button and restart that computer in normal mode.

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.


Post the contents of the MBAM Log.

Ive done up to reinstalling MBAM, even downloaded the new installation after uninstalling and restarting my computer. When the computer loaded up, i tried reinstalling MBAM and that was successful, however when it tried to update i got the error #732 (12029,0).

Edit: "This worked for me: Go to the control panel, then to internet options, and then to the connections tab. Click the LAN Settings button and make sure all three buttons are unchecked." I found this off another site and this worked perfectly for me. Im updating MBAM as we speak. Thanks alot Big Grin I'll post the MBAM log soon.

Download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] by OldTimer to your Desktop.

  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  • You may need to use two posts to get it all.
