windows defender vrs Microsoft essentials

In 7 days My Norton security free will be ending, I want to have the best choice between windows Defender and Microsoft essentials, which is best.? [ system Dell PC531, windows Vista home basic , IE 8 ]

Microsoft Security Essentials would be the way to go. Or you can choose Avira.

  • Panda Cloud Antivirus. If you want your antivirus to be light on resources, I recommend Panda.
  • Avira. 100 million users canīt be wrong. If you want high detection rates, this is your best free bet.
  • Avast! is a very complete antivirus, available in more languages than any other antivirus.
