Hello.
You may need to use another machine at the same time for this to work.

Please put the DVD in and boot from it, then follow the guide here:

I followed the instructions, however, when I got the the "System Recovery Options,"and clicked "NEXT," I get an error message (red circle/white "x") that states "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of Windows."

If I hit "Load Drivers," another box pops up stating: "Insert the installation media for the device and click OK to select the driver." I hit "OK," and a box pops up, which is opened to "SOURCES" and contains EMPTY FOLDERS and files that do "not contain information about your hardware."

THIS IS THE DISC THAT CAME WITH THE MACHINE.

Hello.
Please make sure the malware hasn't just set the volume to mute on the settings.

No. I could not get through this process with the CD. It stopped me.

My computer still says "Audio Service Not Running." When I click on the speaker, "Sounds," and "Levels," there is nothing there to be set.
