Win32/Nuqel.E not locating on command prompt

Post by cmbreukerhernandez on Fri Feb 26, 2010 12:59 am

I was told to be able to delete this rogue spyware thats giving me pop up porn and wont allow me to open up and programs or .Exe files by:

1. Click your Windows Start menu, and then click “Search.”
2. A speech bubble will pop up asking you, “What do you want to search for?” Click “All files and folders.”
3. Type a Win32/Nuqel.E file in the search box, and select “Local Hard Drives.”
4. Click “Search.” Once the file is found, delete it.

But for some reason my computer cannot locate it. I am definitely not as computer savvy.Ive tried locating it which was a fail and also anytime i download programs to remove it this virus attacks it and wont allow me to open up absoƖute ANY program on my computer.

I hope someone can help me. Sad tearing

Please visit this webpage for a tutorial on downloading and running ComboFix:

See the area: Using ComboFix, and when done, post the log back here.

Im not allowed to open any program...

"Application cannot be executed. The file combofix.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now?"

Then it goes to some ridiculous anti soft stuff telling me if I want to eliminate the virus I have to pay.

what do I do now? Sad tearing

Delete your copy of ComboFix; grab a fresh copy, except before you download it, rename it to blackpudding.bat

Navigate to Start --> Run, and enter the following command exactly as shown:

"%userprofile%\desktop\blackpudding.bat" /killall

See if ComboFix will run now.

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
Alternate link: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
(Note: if you already have the program installed, just follow the directions. No need to re-download or re-install!)

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

(Note: if you already have the program installed, open Malwarebytes from the Start Menu or Desktop shortcut, click the Update tab, and click Check for Updates, before doing the scan as instructed below!)

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Extra Note)
  • Please save the log to a location you will remember.
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:

If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Re: Win32/Nuqel.E not locating on command prompt

Post by cmbreukerhernandez on Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:34 am

So I restarted computer as instructed after it was suppose to delete the threats, my computer still wonta llow me to open up other programs because it says its infected, should I just delete everything? I cannot even uninstall it because its saying that i cant open up any private settings because it is also infected!!!

I have a feeling my computer wants to just self destruct. -_-0

I am downloading avero because i was recommended to do that by some tech support, hopefully I can run a scan with that as well. Any other suggestions?

Please be patient. I see this all the time.

  1. As this infection deletes a core executable of Malwarebytes' we will need to download a new copy of it and put it in the C:\program files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ folder. To download the file please click on the following link: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

When your browser prompts you where to save it to, please save it to the C:\program files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ folder. When downloading the file, it will have a random filename. Please leave the filename the way it is as it is important that it is not changed. You may want to write down the name of the file as you will need to know the name in the next step.
  2. Once the file has been downloaded, open the C:\program files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ folder and double-click on the file you downloaded in step 8. If MBAM will start, please do a scan.
