Sata Raid

Post by Harvey579 on 10th February 2010, 6:31 pm

Can data be recovered from a Sata striped raid array? Computer power supply was zapped and new supply allows me to recognize array, but unable to boot from these drives.

never had anything like this happen but i would suggest using a live cd, some kind of Linux to see if it will recognize it as one partition and if the data is still readable

Thanks for the advice. We have a tremendous problem in this area with electrical spikes. They go right past blocking devices and seem to affect hard drives more than anything else. The backup disc (external) won't even be recognized anymore and I'm sending it back to manufacturer to see if they can recover my files.
