Internet Security 2010 Help!

Post by lesstrat7 on Wed Feb 10, 2010 4:40 am

Hey all,

so I've had this problem for about a week now, and being as stupid as I am, never thought to do anything with it but run my Mcafee virus scan thinking that would be able to take care of it.

Now I've been over the thread that has the way to get rid of it here at GeekPolice, but my problem is that I cannot get past the login screen. When I try it takes me in for a few seconds then tells me that it is logging off. I have no idea to get around this, and not sure what to do when i do.

If there is anyone with any advice it would be unbelievably appreciated.

Please visit this webpage for a tutorial on downloading and running ComboFix:

See the area: Using ComboFix, and when done, post the log back here.

These are links to Anti-virus vendors that offer free LiveCD or Rescue CD files that are used to boot from for repair of unbootable and damaged systems, rescue data, scan the system for virus infections. Burn it as an image to a disk to get a bootable CD. All (except Avira) are in the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] file format. Avira uses an EXE that has built-in CD burning capability.
If you are not sure how to burn an image, please read [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. If you need a FREE utility to burn the ISO image, download and use [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Let me know how it goes.
