Post by caskorpio2002 on Sun Jan 10, 2010 12:17 pm

Hi, My problem is my hard drive crashed so I replaced it now whenI try to install win xp again it goes as far as "setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration" and basically stops there. I have a couple different xp cd's and they all go to that point and stops.I was able to boot up a partitoning software but not windows.
Can you help?
Thanks

Hello,

You have to select the partition where you want to install Windows on as part of the procedure, it will proceed to installing Windows after that.
