LSASS.exe ERROR

Post by dararebreed on Thu 31 Dec 2009, 1:51 pm

I can't start Windows. That error comes up saying the application failed to open. I'm pretty sure I checked 1 too many items to fix in Hijackthis & that's what caused the problem. On my girlfriend's pc now. What can I do?

Hello,

Can't get Windows to start. How do I get to Hijackthis. Wont start in "safe mode" or "last known good config". Lsass.exe error comes up & that's all she wrote.

Hello,

Do you have your recovery CD? What is the brand of your PC?

Hello,

1. Power on the computer
2. At the Dell logo, hold the Ctrl key and press the F11 key simultaneously.
2. The Dell PC Restore screen will come up.

Select "repair my PC."

Hello,

If you have the Windows XP disc, then you should be able to do that.
