Portable HDD !

hi! when i try to remove/eject my portable hdd from my taskbar it is saying that "the device cannot be stopped right now. and try stopping later" . so i used to just unplug my usb wire.i s it safe doing like that ? does it causes any damage to my files ? Thank You!

Hello,

It might cause your HDD's firmware to corrupt. It might also cause loss of files. Make sure you close all programs/files/windows running on the HDD before removing it.

Ok. i've closed all the programs/files/windows running on the HDD, but still that message is been dispalyed. tell me wht to do ?

There must be something running in the background then. I guess it's safe to remove since you've closed everything.
