Hello everyone!

Post by rosedelfin on Sat Dec 19, 2009 6:32 pm

Hi, I am so happy I found you all. This is my second day in here and I thought I posted something yesterday but I can't find it. I remember putting in a question about removing Personal Security off my computer and it took me to a list of topics, in there I found some similar problems to mine and I tried some of the suggestions. I was so happy that I got that far. In retrospect, I don't think I actually posted anything because I don't remember doing this. Anyhow, I'm doing this as a test to see how you post. By the way I'm still having the Personal Security issue so I need to get to the right place to address that. Thank you! Rose

I read the instructions that you recommended that I follow first which is updating my computer and instructions on highjack this for posting logs. I updated and I tried downloading highjack this. I couldn't find the notepad where I'm suppossed to copy and past the logs to. I also couldn't copy and paste after I ran the scan on highjack this. I did notice a box pop up that stated that I should save somewhere else as the log was saving on a temporary file. I didn't understand that. Sorry, I'm not very good at this.

Hello,

Notepad will open up automatically when you click the "Perform quick scan and save a log file" button.

I tried downloading HijackThis again and the log pad does not appear and I can't copy and paste. Also when trying to update I get a message stating that Internet Explorer 8 for windows xp not downloaded. Its a possibility that the javara didn't download either because when I hit run to download I never got a message that download was succusful or complete. My computer is probably in real bad shape. I also noticed that the icons on dashboard disappear after the first log into the internet. So as soon as I x out of here there will be no icons on desktop and I'll have to turn off my computer and reboot.
