Solved Adding Memory

Post by uripadees on 17th December 2009, 12:44 am

I have a Dell Dimension 4550 and have a question about upgrading my memory. As it is now I have two slots, one has a 256 stick and the other has a 512 stick. After reading the wimpy manual about adding more memory it says that I can't exceed 1 GB. Now, is that the combined total of the two or is that per slot?

Hello,

You can't exceed 1GB per slot, that's what it means.
