Unable to start antivirus scan or regcure, Bankerfox.A Win32/Nuqel.E

I am getting messages that I have WIN32/NUQEL.E and BANKERFOX.A on an XP desktop. I have tried to run AVG, Regcure, and SpybotSD that I have installed on to a USB stick, with the latest updates, but the programs are automatically closed after 1 second. I have also tried to install these programs to the C Drive, but the install fails each time. No active programs show on the right-hand side of the taskbar, just a row of about 50 red shields with an X in each one. Is there anything else that I can try? Help!

Please download the current version of HijackThis from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

  • Double click and run the installer.
  • It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  • After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  • Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.

Managed to run IOBit Advanced System Care from USB, this removed 4 Trojans, Spybot SD was then able to run, this found a further 391 Trojans and other Malware. System now clean, thanks for your time. BTW, the link for HijackThis gave a 404, found it on the TrendMicro site instead. Thanks again.
