"server is busy" or some other virus

Post by omer on 10th December 2009, 4:21 pm

Hello guys - I have been struggling with some kind of viruses/spyware on my system for a couple of weeks. First it was this "security pro" or something which i sorted out by downloading the malware thing based on directions on this website. That worked fine. However, in the last 2-3 days - Im guessing a whole bunch of viruses have come over again. The laptop is really slow - I open and it takes ages to open and then its impossible to open or work the browsers - either firefox or IE. Sometimes a small window saying "server is busy" pops up. I was not able to download latest java stuff or hijack \this - per the instructions here, simply because its become impossible to browse. I have run AVG free scan and Malware scan - but I think theres some problem with them as well as they say run negative with no problems detected. Is there anything I can do??
Thanks!!

And also when I shut off the system it gets stuck at logging off. And the scans I run have an awful lot of "HKEY or HKLN" files or something - I dont know if theyre infected.

Please download the current version of HijackThis from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

  • Double click and run the installer.
  • It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  • After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  • Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.
