Need help with Error code

Post by netsniper on Thu Dec 10, 2009 9:18 am

Hi Gu's can some one tell me what this message means and how to resolve it? it just appeard when I swtched on my laptop

Hi, When the computer is switched on the following appears....

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

CONFIG_LIST_FAILED

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware of software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

Technical information:

STOP: 0x00000073 (0xc00001D, 0x00000001, 0xF7280BB8)

Beginning dump of physical memory
physical memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance.

I tried starting in safe mode, but the same message reappears.

I haven't installed anything new since I last had it on

Thank You!

Hi,
How much space do you have on disc C:? Clean it. Do a system clean up. Also, this is registry problem, run CCleaner ( you can download it from anywahere ), choose Registry Repair and fix all issuses.
