SWP2009

Post by Jaboyslim on Wed Dec 09, 2009 1:20 pm

Hi I'm new to this site and have been reading around but I can't seem to get this SWP 2009 off of my computer. I read the before you post and tried following the steps but the malware won't let me open any files it will just switch its current message to the file I'm trying to open and says its infected. Its very annoying because my computer was running fine. I keep it update with free security stuff and my computer ran fine until I left for school and my little brother and cousin stayed home. I come back and I got this bs stopping my computer from functioning correctly. I would really appreciate any assistance. Smile

EDIT: I didn't really state the name of the problem but they are trying to make me buy antivirus Live.

Please download the current version of HijackThis from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

  • Double click and run the installer.
  • It will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\hijackthis.exe
  • After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
  • Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, copy and paste it back here.

Says its infected. Pretty much every .exe file makes Antivirus live popup an infected file prompt. = /

Hello.
Try running this before using Hijack This.

Please download exeHelper from one of the two links.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

  • Double-click on exeHelper.com or exeHelper.scr to run the fix.
  • A black window should pop up, press any key to close once the fix is completed.
  • Post the contents of log.txt (Will be created in the directory where you ran exeHelper.com)
Note: If the window shows a message that says "Error deleting file", please re-run the program before posting a log - and post the two logs together (they will both be in the one file).
