Sorry about that, must have missed your bump.

We can remove OTMoveIt now.

  • Please double-click OTM.exe to run it again.
  • Press the green CleanUp! button.
  • Press Yes cleanup process prompt, do the same for the reboot prompt.
How is the machine running now?

did the reboot & cleanup - i have a couple of questions.. i ran combofix from a jump drive, and never uninstalled it... do i need to?i saw in some other threads that comnbofix should be uninstalled to restore certain items ...?... are there any of these other programs i need to uninstall? i have not tried to get into safe mode, should i?

Don't think Combofix should be there anymore, the clean up routine in OTM should have removed it when it removed itself, I could be wrong however, is the folders for Combofix still there on your C:\ drive?

i don't see anything in the root c:\ called combofix or anything else remotely close to that. also, nothing in program files folder. so i'm sure you're right...
2 more questions:
can spybot & avg free coexist? is it safe to try to enter safe mode?
thanks!

I would like to say thanks for your help. Next step- donation time. It won't be a lot but it couldn't ever come close to the value of your time and graciousness.
thanks again...hopefully, i won't be back..in THIS part of the forum, anyway.'
Season's Greetings.
