Post by ViKtory on Sun 29 Nov 2009, 5:35 pm

Nah, not more, I'm really FED UP of this crap, and want to get rid of this. I always get an error message at startup and real slow internet makes me kill anything I see.. I'm currently running CCleaner and seeing if anything will help..

(DAMN IT< WHILE I'M TYPING< THIS NET GOT CUT OFF!!!!! X( )

So, I'll post a pic of that stupid error the next time I boot my comp. If it is necessary, I'll do it right now. My speedtest results are real slow, but I don't think that is true.. help?

Hello,

The internet speed has to do with your ISP. You can improve the speed by subscribing to a higher plan.

  • Open HijackThis
  • Choose "Do a system scan only"
  • Check the boxes in front of these lines:

SWEET!!

I clicked that "Remove selected items" button, MBAM said they are removed, but you need to reboot your computer. I did so, and there are no error messages!
Do you think the problem is still there or is everything gone?

(now nothing crashes (maybe) except of this site, only once.)

Edit : dumb, it is saying "HijackThis is already running" when it isn't
Sometimes computers are so dumb.

I've rebooted my comp, opened hijackthis and did whatever you said. I don't think it's the fault og ISP, we've got a good server..

And also, I din't find any My web search things?
I guess it's all over now, MBAM removed it already ;)
Thanks for the support, Milton

Glad I could help!

The speed test you done earlier speaks for itself, the speed itself is slow. And MBAM should have already removed it.

Hmm.. If this speed is slightly satisfying me, what would I do with a speed of something like yours? Maybe become a ping pong ball and jump around? LOL!

Double-posting after 24 hours.

The prob. is solved, but I see you have asked me to remove WordWeb.. Why is it when the same software was suggested to be downloaded in the "Freeware downloads" forum? Is it a virus?

I know, so at the install, I checked off that "Startup" thingee.. It only opens when I ctrl+right click.
and yeag, everytime I start my computer, at the bottom tray, the comp says "Windows has blocked some start-up programs"
Let me see what they are..

Yahoo Messenger
Internet Download Manager
Microsoft Userinit Logon Application (God knows what it is)
Microsoft Windows Explorer
Windows Defender
McAfee SecurityCenter
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Dell Support Center Upgrades

What should I do to these?

You can leave them alone since they are essential.
