Vista Keyboard Problem

Post by Programmer on Sat Nov 21, 2009 7:05 pm

When I start up my computer and log in, it works fine, but if I leave my computer there for long enough, it goes to the screen that says that my computer is locked and I need to log in again, but the keyboard does not work and I have to restart the computer for it to work again.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thank you in advance,

Hello,

Try this:

Start >> Type in Device manager >> find your keyboard. Select it, right click and select Properties. Click on the Power Management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

That option is grayed out, but I can still see that it is not checked, but there was one that said allow the keyboard to wake the computer up, is there a way to make the computer just not go into that mode, and just go into screen saver?

Hello,

Start >> Power Options. You can change the standby time from there.
