Anti Virus System Pro not found

Post by Reany on Mon Nov 09, 2009 10:29 pm

Interesting my Malwarebytes finds nothing on my PC regarding this virus though I guarantee it was on my machine at the time I ran it. ComboFix was my only solution and even that was difficult as it reported "active rootkit" many times before it finally rebooted and scanned/fixed my PC. So far so good.

Here is what my hosts file was changed to:

127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost
91.212.127.227 winsecure2009.microsoft.com
91.212.127.227 winsecure2009.com

ComboFix logs should not be run without the guidance of a helper. It is a powerful tool and is intended by its creator to be "used under the guidance and supervision of an expert", NOT for private or regular use. Using this tool incorrectly could lead to disastrous problems with your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again.

However, since you have ran ComboFix, please post the log in your next reply. It should be located at: C:\ComboFix.txt - or similar name.
