Post by Michael Griego on 9th November 2009, 8:33 pm

I have used computers for my employment for 20+ years.

However, I am a completely and totally illeterate regarding, termanology, technique, knowledge, etc.

I am a very good robot....

I follow instructions very well.

I downloaded your 10 page instruction to remove Alpha Anitvirus.....

Step #1 says Locate......AlphaAV.exe........

This was NOT visible there...........Alpha.exe was..........

Is there a difference ????

What action do I take at this time ????

Hi,
you can find your problem here.

You just need to shutdown AlphaAntivirus process, name is not important, so click ok Alpha.exe than on End Now button.
Follow these instructions to continue:

1. Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc.

2. Navigate to the Processes tab.

3. Locate for a process called AlphaAV.exe and end it's process by click the End Process button at the bottom left hand corner of Task Manager and click Yes.

4. Continue with the instructions listed below to remove Alpha Antivirus completely.

Follow other instruction on link above.
