Windows xp

Post by Stephon on Mon 07 Sep 2009, 2:48 pm

Well, a few days ago I felt like reformatting my computer to start fresh and so on. But I forgot that I didn't have a windows xp cd to restore it back. So I went to go find windows xp home edition sp3 and I found it. I tried installing it but it keep saying my key was wrong(the product key is legit - it's on the back of my desktop). Anyways, I noticed that it said Windows XP home edition SP2.

My questin is how can I find a clean copy of windows xp home edition sp2? My warranty with e machines is long gone and Microsoft can't help me out. Plus I don't feel like paying 150+ just to get xp again and I don't trust torrents.

So where can I find a copy? Or am I out of luck?

That's what I thought. Oh well. I'll probably just move to Linux since I'm screwed.
