Hello all

Post by jness80537 on Thu Aug 27, 2009 11:06 pm

Hello to all. I'm from Loveland Colorado and have been doing pretty good with the pc stuff, until today. I booted up my pc this morning and now am having loads and loads of problems. I was looking through the site, and it seems like I am not the only one who is trying to get rid of windows antivirus pro.
So, today I am reading everything I can to fix this problem.
Hopefully someone has a solution to this pesky bug, or maybe I'll find one, I'll let you know.

hey welcome to geek police Cheers Mate

virus/malware/security is not my area, so someone will be along soon enough to help you with that Smile

there is a guide for removing that here :

I don't want to get in trouble for posting this in the forum, but I would like to tell you guys how I got rid of the Windows Antivirus Pro from my pc.
I tried to download malwarebytes, but the virus would not let me do it, so I saved the program to a flash drive, sent the program from the flash drive to the desktop. I had to right click on it and click on "run as administrator", I was then able to install it and run the scan. It was shocking everything that it had found. Thankfully most of it is gone, I still have one window that pops up saying that my host server has crashed, but I'll find that bug too.
Thanx for having an awesome forum, I learned alot last night, and maybe in the future I'll think about joining as a techie. Too much going on with school and raising my 4 yr old daughter.
Once again thank you
