Virus on my computer?

Post by DerPancake on Sat Aug 08, 2009 6:59 am

hey today my computer got an antivirus, which I didnt download, and it said I had tons of trojans and viruses, and in my background I had a message that told me my computer stoped working correctly

so I did some scannings with Malvaware Anti Malware, and IObit Security 360 and it found the trojans and viruses, and deleted the anti virus
but I just want to make sure all is fine with my computer, if someone can help me, I will appreciated
here is my hijack log

Hello.

  • Open HijackThis
  • Choose "Do a system scan only"
  • Check the boxes in front of these lines:

    O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-19\..\Run: [niwositale] Rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\miyahewe.dll",s (User '?')
    O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-20\..\Run: [niwositale] Rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\miyahewe.dll",s (User '?')
    O20 - AppInit_DLLs: swupdate.dll c:\windows\system32\mahalemo.dll,C:\WINDOWS\system32\fifiteko.dll

  • Press "Fix Checked"
  • Close Hijack This.

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.

Just a temp file though.

  • Please download DDS by sUBs to your Desktop (Important!!) from one of these locations:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
  • Double click DDS.scr to run.
  • When complete, two logs will open. Save both of the report to your Desktop.
  • Copy and paste DDS.txt back here, I don't need to see attach.txt.

Hello.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs.

    Java(TM) 6 Update 13

Updating Java:

  • Download the latest version of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
  • Select the first option where it says "This release is Windows 7 support-ready and includes support for Internet Explorer 8...".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • In the Window that opens, select your platform and language, check the "agree" box, and click Continue.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u15-windows-i586-p.exe that you downloaded to install the newest version.

I see you have Firefox and VLC player installed. Both of these you are running are old versions and need updating.

Please download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and install it. It will install over version 2.0 you currently have installed, so you won't lose any bookmarked websites.

Download and install [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
When installing, it will ask if you want to uninstall the old version first before it can install the new version, so please select yes and allow it to install.

Let me know once you have all that done.

Hello.
Last thing to do.

  • Now open a new notepad file.
  • Input this into the notepad file:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\control\lsa]
    "Notification Packages"=hex(7):73,63,65,63,6c,69,00,00

  • Save this as fix.reg, save it to your desktop.
  • Double click fix.reg to run it.
  • Select yes to the registry merge prompt.

How is the machine running now?

There are a few things you could kill from startup, so they won't run at startup, or in the background.

If you want us to do that, post a new Hijack This log.
