Hello.

  • Open HijackThis
  • Choose "Do a system scan only"
  • Check the boxes in front of these lines:

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Twain] C:\Documents and Settings\Susan\Application Data\Twain\Twain.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Monopod] C:\DOCUME~1\Susan\LOCALS~1\Temp\b.exe
    O20 - AppInit_DLLs: C:\WINDOWS\system32\goyinoro.dll,C:\WINDOWS\system32\dudumese.dll
    O23 - Service: AntipyPro_12 (AntipPro2009_12) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svchast.exe

  • Press "Fix Checked"
  • Close Hijack This.

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.

Good morning,
OK, everything worked as you said and my computer appears to be fine except for one tiny detail and on my desktop, the titles of the icons are highlighted?. Also, where do I find the MBAM log to send to you?

Thank-you from the bottom of my heart for your help. I am truly grateful.

  • Please download DDS by sUBs to your Desktop (Important!!) from one of these locations:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
  • Double click DDS.scr to run.
  • When complete, two logs will open. Save both of the report to your Desktop.
  • Copy and paste DDS.txt back here, I don't need to see attach.txt.

Hello.

  • Now open a new notepad file.
  • Input this into the notepad file:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\currentcontrolset\control\lsa]
    "Notification Packages"=hex(7):73,63,65,63,6c,69,00,00

  • Save this as fix.reg, save it to your desktop.
  • Double click fix.reg to run it.
  • Select yes to the registry merge prompt.

We can remove OTMoveIt now.

  • Please double-click OTM.exe to run it again.
  • Press the green CleanUp! button.
  • Press Yes cleanup process prompt, do the same for the reboot prompt.
How is the machine running now?

Hello kind stranger,
The machine seems to be working fine except that the titles under the desktop icons are still hi-lited which makes me suspicious...
A deep and profound thank-you, there is a special place in the beyond for you, of this I am sure...

Hello.
The highlight isn't really a highlight, it's just a Desktop setting.

Can you take a screenshot for me, helps me make sure were talking about the same thing. LMBO or ROFL
