Solved Closed Captions

Post by D4v1dH4ckm4n on 17th April 2008, 8:44 pm

Okay, so I have a movie, and it's not really understandable, because of music in the movie. So, is there a way to like add captions, and take out the music? but leave in what the people are saying? Thanks.

Is the music that you want to rip off is from a DVD, VCD, or CD?

Use virtual dub to separate the audio from the movie:

Code:
Virtualdubwww.virtualdub.org

Usually, it will be MPEG Layer 3 Audio. Split it into separate layers using Audacity:

Code:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net

Identify the layer which has the music and erase the layer or silence it. I generally use WinDVD creator to separate audio. I don't know of virtual dub. If you want WinDVD trial, go here

Code:

I downloaded virtual dub and it said that ASF files are not supported or something like that.

Download Ulead trial. It supports .asf files.

Code:
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=CorelCom/ProcessLayout&lc=en&ppg=CorelCorp/Trials/Login&pid=1203568938430&cid=1177439658237

Load the video, play it a click on the music tab. It will give you the option for muting.
