Post by lesabre on Sun Jun 07, 2009 11:34 pm

While playing Fallout 3, freeze, sound loops, then this BSOD:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 1000007e
BCP1: C0000005
BCP2: 8E632507
BCP3: 90791B08
BCP4: 90791804
OS Version: 6_0_6002
Service Pack: 2_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini060709-01.dmp
C:\Users\Mitch\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-31512-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Users\Mitch\AppData\Local\Temp\WERB76C.tmp.version.txt

I hope this has nothing to do with the hardware or an overheating issue. The system has never has done this before until just recently, I was playing for around an hour to an hour and a half.

Hello,

Have you tried updating your graphic drivers to the latest versions?

I did actually (185.85 if I'm not mistaken for the Gefore 9600m series) , the drivers are certified, however some other users including myself have had trouble installing the drivers using the installation wizard. I had to refer to a user guide someone created and posted on Nvidia's forum which manually forces the driver installation (which could attribute to the BSOD crash). Also I installed the drivers cleanly, using both Driver Cleaner pro and revo-uninstaller before updating.
