xbox 360 unable to find my pc

hello-
i'm trying to connect my xbox 360 to windows media player 11 on my pc running windows xp. my pc sees the xbox 360 and i have allowed access via media sharing in windows media player. however, my xbox 360 will not find my pc. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
