Re: How to Remove Personal Antivirus [Delete Guide]
I'm trying to post this on lots of websites...
It really hacks me off (if you'll excuse the pun). I've searched online for solutions to this. The only one that keeps coming up is Spyware Doctor. I have my suspicions that they created it as they seem to be the only ones who 'advertise' they can remove it!!
I used Malwarebytes Anti-malware and would recommend it. I couldn't download it as my internet explorer froze up because of malware, so a friend copied it on a disk for me.
These virus-writing scumbags are clever, though. They know Malwarebytes will work, so they've written into the code of their virus to stop Malwarebytes from booting up. Don't worry - find and rename your Malwarebytes .exe file (any name will do eg:- xxx.exe) then right click on the desktop icon and rename the target file with the same name. reboot your PC in safe mode and run Malwarebytes and follow the instructions. This should do the trick.
I'm no expert by any means in PC software and I can't see what these people get out of messing other peoples computers up, but they do, so we have to wise up. Malware bytes is free to download and I've found one of the better ones out there. Hope this helps you or any other non-technical person like me. There are lots of really helpful people out there willing to give their time for free to sort these problems (we thickoes really appreciate it!!) but sometimes I am lost after twenty seconds of reading a solution, so I hope this is an easy to follow way of getting rid of this... this... GRRR, i'm getting mad now!!!
please post if this helps anyone
