Just did this exactly as the instructions explained. It appears to have worked perfectly to get rid of the issue. I'm still a bit cautious, but after the restart I turned my firewall back on, reactivated my antivirus and it appears I'm issue free. I highly recommend this guide and this program.

It could have come from any random site you've gone to. If you look for lyrics to a song, try to find a new cooking recipe or try to find the answers to your math homework, you're bound to pick up something. It could be a cookie, it could be a trojan. There's never really any telling where you get these viruses...unless you're addicted to porn websites. They're loaded with them. Other than that, I'm out of ideas. But doing this will get rid of your virus, along with anything else you might have waiting to unload into your CPU.

You have to run the program in safe mode. If you run it on standard windows mode, everything will get shut down by it. Restart, put it in safe mode and then run Malwarebytes. When you're in safe mode, the only things running are the necessary components to substantiate minimal CPU effort, so the virus will be asleep until you catch it.

Not trying to insinuate your lack of knowledge on the subject, but what are you doing to attempt to boot into safemode? Usually computers are all the same...F8 before it boots. Problem is it's all about timing. I do know, however, that too much rebooting in a short amount of time will cause the computer to have issues loading. If you're 100% sure that you're trying safemode boot correctly and it still crashes, get your recovery CD's out and get ready for a reformat. If nothing else works, you'll have to do a wipe. I don't recommend trying to recovery any files like pictures or music because those files could also have become infected. If you absoƖute can NOT get into safemode, you must reformat. Sorry

Re: How to Remove Antivirus Soft [Removal Guide]

Post by Lojak on Tue 2 Feb - 9:05

Ok so I downloaded Malwarebytes and eliminated 70 some odd bits of malware. I THOUGHT it would have gotten rid of this "Antivirus-Soft" application, but as soon as I restarted and everything loaded up, Antivirus-Soft came right back up and started doing its thing again. It keeps telling me about 'BankerFox.A and Win32/Nuqel.E. How do I get rid of this thing for good? Please assist!!!

Here's the issue I had:

I couldn't get my computer into safemode. When I restarted my computer I had approximately 60 seconds before I couldn't do -anything-. I downloaded the program on one of my good computers (if you don't have at least 1 other, try a library) and put the downloaded .exe file on a flash drive. Then when you first load up the computer, extract the files and install as fast as possible. Ideally, however, putting it into safemode is the safest and easiest option. I can't stress that enough. You HAVE to figure out how to get your computer into safe mode in order to make this process easy. The virus shouldn't do anything while safemode is running.

I used these instructions after trying to run the exact malware software myself first (which did not work) until I did the update as you recommended (in Safe Mode, I just keep tapping F8 during start, gently), and it finally got rid of the thing. So yeah, follow the instructions EXACTLY, read each piece and do it, and completely to safely get to the internet and get the updates to the malware downloaded. What a waste of a day! Thanks for being there!
