help needed please

Solved help needed please

my girlfriends laptop had norton 360 version 2 on it.. i've uninstalled it but now cant surf the net,ive taken the pc back to a previous date but still cant surf... my isp says nortons firewall is stopping it from surfing.. how can i find it and disable it please... bearing in mind it cant get online

Hello,

Start >> Run >> CMD, Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults by typing: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults by typing: netsh int ip reset reset.log

Restart your PC.

See if you can connect now.

ok thanks... i tried that but it didn't work either... this has all happened since i uninstalled norton 360 version 2... any more help would be great thanks.

thanks for your help mate but had to restore back to factory settings,works a treat and used your link to remove norton totally... thanks again .
