USB shows data but doesn't show any files

Hi All

I recently uploaded a lot of photo's from travelling Asia to a 16gig USB and today when I was uploading files from my camera to the USB and halfway between the computer reset itself and now when I plug in the USB it shows no files. However when you check the properties of the USB it shows the data is still on the USB stick it just doesn't show any files.

Can someone please help as I have deleted these photo's from my camera memory card and they are irresplacable to me.

I'm confused, so you are uploading photos from your camera to you computer? What do you mean when you plug in the USB? Is it your camera or a 16 GB flash drive?

it is a 16gig usb drive that holds the photo's (previously added) which has data, but the problem occured when I was transferring the photo's from the camera to the 16gig usb drive (second upload) and then windows restarted itself on a seperate computer to this notebook (internet cafe in vietnam). I hope this helps

Hello,

I think the firmware of the flash drive is corrupted.

Try plugging the flash drive into another USB port, make sure it's plugged directly to the back of the computer.
