SimplyIcon - Makes Icon Creation a Snap

Simply create windows icon files (.ICO format) by drag-and-drop images on to this program. Actually I wrote this program because I need a simple tool to generate icons, but I haven't found any decent free ones. This program generates down-sampled 32x32, 24x24 and 16x16 levels automatically. It will also generate the 128x128 level if your source image is equal to or larger than 128x128.



You won't find any image editing tools or tweaks on SimplyIcon, it accepts whatever image you drag into it and cranks out an icon file. If that's good enough for you, it's definitely a download you'll want to keep stashed in your home folder.

SimplyIcon is free, Windows only, and requires .Net 2.0 Framework or higher.

Does it support OSX icons and alpha?

I believe it supports alpha transparency but not OSX

OSX icons format is quite popular since many designers use Mac.

Thanks a lot! I've been trying to make my desktop look a little nicer by removing the folder icons and replacing them. This will help out a lot.
