This online oasis of technical support is staffed completely by volunteers. This means it doesn't cost a penny for you to ask a question! So what are you waiting for? Here's short guide on how to use our site.




 
   Register For Free

Before you can post questions, you must first register and be logged in.
Click here to register for free. If you are already registered, continue to the next step.




   Choose a Forum to Post Your Questions

For example you are having a problem with a virus, post your questions in the Virus, Spyware & Malware Removal forum. Post in a forum which seems most appropriate to you. You can request it be moved to another forum later if necessary.


 




     Create a New Topic
After choosing which forum to post your questions in, click the    button on the top left.




      Post Your Question

When you click on the button you will be presented with a new page. You are required to do the following:

- For the Topic Title, enter a title that is descriptive of the problem or question that you have. For example, do not write something like "I need Help!!", instead write "Error code 6801 at startup". These descriptive titles will allow people to help you better by knowing the specific problem that you are having.

- In the message body, the large text area, type in a detailed description of your problem.
 
- When you are satisfied with all the information click on the    button to see how the post will appear to everyone else.
 

- If the post looks the way you want it, click the    button.  




      Find Your Posts

Now that your question has been posted, you do not want to loose it. You can choose to bookmark it or save the link. Alternatively, you can click the View your posts link on the GeekPolice Index Page. If your question has not been answered in 2 days, please reply to your topic saying "Bump".


Once your questions has been resolved or corrected, let helper know, so that the staff may add a solved tag to the topic.
